Randolph McCoy's house stood on Blackberry Fork of Pond Creek. It burned on Jan. 1, 1888, during a Hatfield raid. Two of Randolph's children, Alifair and Calvin, were killed in the attack, and their mother Sally was badly injured. Randolph and his other children escaped. The site is part of the Hatfield-McCoy Feud Historic Dist.
