In the late 1950s, Bill Jones invented the soft drink here. He took the original recipe, which had been developed as a “chaser” for hard liquor, and added “secret” ingredients that turned it into one of the top-selling soft drinks worldwide. The building where the drink was formulated stands less than a mile away at 517 North Main Street.
