Powered by an Allison TF41 turbofan engine, it cost $2,860,000, reached a maximum speed of 663 miles per hour, cruised at 545 miles per hour, had a range of 3,000 miles, and a service ceiling of 33,500 feet. Built in 1971, it served with the U.S. Air Force from 1971 to 1991 and with the U.S. Navy from 1991 to 1999. It was accepted by Blue Island American Legion Post 50 and the Blue Island Park District on July 17th 1999 and dedicated to all who served our country.
