Around 4:00 A.M. on Sunday, January 22, 2017, a tornado swept through Cook County leaving a path of destruction, and seven people lost their lives as a result of tornado-related injuries: Lawansa Denise Perry, Adrian Lamar Mays, Amanda Lee Rowe, Alexis Nicole Livingston, Mary Delores Cantrell, Jamie Cantrell Walters, and Joe Deskins.
