Benjamin M. McKulik was a beloved teacher whose work embodied the principles of Milton's "Of Education," the subject of his undergraduate honors thesis at Princeton. His profound knowledge enriched the program in Humanities and Comparative Literature at York College. As chair and long-term member of the Curriculum Committee, he oversaw major changes in college courses. His death in 1997, while in his professional prime, left students and colleagues bereaved.
