The Jennings Building passed through a succession of owners beginning with S. H. Jennings from 1901 to 1918, followed by F. M. Benson from 1918 to 1920, Andrew Wilson from 1920 to 1941, E. H. Ruppelius from 1941 to 1974, Dorothy Fisher from 1974 to 1978, Joseph and Elizabeth Sears from 1978 to 1994, and the Elizabeth Sears Trust from 1994 onward. Its occupants were unknown from 1901 to 1908, then Wilson Jewelry from 1908 to 1918, Stutzman Jewelry from 1918 to 1920, Wilson Jewelry again from 1920 to 1922, Ruppelius Jewelry from 1922 to 1966, and Ruppelius Jewelry under Joseph Sears from 1966 onward.
