The east end turnaround and boarding stop stood on this corner and was used by workers traveling to the coke and glass factories, while the trolleys also carried people to visit and shop in downtown Mt. Pleasant. In 1913, West Penn Trolley #206 traveled between the borough and the township. The trolley line, an extension of the Pennsylvania Railroad, operated until 1952.
