Bosque County's fourth courthouse was built in 1886 from limestone quarried from nearby hills. It has Gothic styling, and its clock tower was modified in 1935 to strengthen the roof. Its unique iron stairs and railing remain. The county's first courthouse, in 1854, was a one-room log cabin.
