Blythedale honors its men and women who served their country, including Sgt. Dennis Joseph Lorenzini, killed in action on February 23, 1969 in Tay Ninh, South Vietnam; PFC Maria Lorenzini-Shipers, recognized for a lifetime dedicated to the advancement of veterans and their causes; the citizens of Blythedale who served in the World War of 1917-1918; and those from the community who served in World War II, with special memory given to those who made the supreme sacrifice.
