Durham honors those who served their country by listing local men and women on rolls of honor for the Great World War, World War II, the Korean Conflict, Operation Enduring Freedom, the Vietnam War, the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, the war with Mexico, Desert Storm and Shield, and the Civil War, with symbols indicating those killed in action and those who died in service.
