American veterans across generations shared a common goal of valiantly protecting the country's freedoms. Their memories continue to live on whenever and wherever democracy exists, and the American veteran remains a symbol of heroism, sacrifice, loyalty, and freedom. The area serves as a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made by past, present, and future United States military personnel during the nation's wars and conflicts. The project was made possible by the bricks and their donors throughout the area, and it was dedicated on Memorial Day, May 31, 2004.
