Emil J. Kapaun, a chaplain known as Father Kapaun, was an outstanding hero of the Korean Conflict. Born on April 20, 1916, in Pilsen, Kansas, he died on May 6, 1951, and was buried in a Communist prison camp in North Korea. His fellow prisoners testified, "He was all man and all priest."
