The Devil's Nose is a steep, narrow mountain ridge in northeastern Hampshire County, West Virginia, between the Little Cacapon and Potomac rivers. Extending from southwest to northeast, it rises near Meadow Branch and curves along a bend in Meadow Branch Creek. Its significance lies less in size than in its striking form: not a broad mountain mass, but a prominent ridge whose sharp profile and position give it a distinct identity in the river country of the eastern Appalachians. It is recognized as a notable natural landform set above the creek and surrounding valleys rather than as a developed place.
