Stevenson Road Bridge was built in 1877 and restored in 2015 by the Righter Company with money from the Federal Covered Bridge Restoration Act and local funds. It is a 96-foot clear span Smith truss bridge, a design invented by Robert Smith in what is now Tipp City, Ohio, using a diagonal arrangement of truss web members with top and bottom chords made of two, three, or more members as needed for longer spans and heavier loads; the diagonals are sandwiched between the chords and bolted, and the floor beams rest on top of the bottom chord. The covered bridge closed to vehicle traffic in 2003 and the road was rerouted in 2004. Stevenson Road was named for James Stevenson, who donated land nearby for a church and cemetery on Jones Rd. The bridge spans Massies Creek, named for early Ohio surveyor Nathaniel Massie. Brothers James and John Stevenson settled in this area in 1797, and James Stevenson's wife Ann was a Galloway, niece of James Galloway.
