Witch's Dungeon Classic Movie Museum in Plainville, Connecticut, is devoted to classic movie monster figures created and collected by Corlandt Hull, a Bristol native with family ties to actors Henry Hull and Josephine Hull. Founded in 1966 in a Swiss chalet-style building Hull and his father constructed, the museum features life-size recreations of famous horror and fantasy film characters, some modeled from actors' life-casts. Its displays use period clothing, detailed sets, and sometimes original film costumes or props. After moving to 103 East Main Street, the museum gained space for individual backdrops and theatrical lighting by Bill Diamond, deepening its focus on classic screen horror.
