Clark's Hill/Norton State Historic Site on the eastern edge of Jefferson City, Missouri, preserves land tied to the Lewis and Clark Expedition, including one of the expedition's campsites and a lookout point where William Clark viewed the meeting of the Osage and Missouri rivers. The site also includes American Indian burial mounds, reflecting a longer human presence in the area beyond the expedition period. Donated to the state by Jefferson City residents William and Carol Norton in 2002, it opened to the public in 2004.
