Maple Mountain
Nature
Maple Mountain is a 5,280-foot peak in Okanogan County in north-central Washington, situated between Storm King Mountain to the east and Clackamas Mountain to the west. Most of the mountain is forested, but its south side opens onto exposed slab broken by patches of grass. That south face offers the most technical route, requiring some rock scrambling, while the easier approach follows the Maple Mountain Trail. Beginning at Granite Creek, the trail climbs about 1,420 feet in 1.56 miles and reaches a point just below the summit.
