Curlew Lake State Park is a public recreation area on the eastern shore of Curlew Lake, about five miles northeast of Republic in northeastern Washington. Covering 87 acres, it offers picnicking, camping, hiking, biking, boating, fishing, and swimming. The site began in 1948 when the Washington Department of Game developed it for public fishing. In 1958, the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission agreed to develop the land as a state park and recreation area, and in 1959 the state legislature appropriated $25,000 for construction. It remains a small lakeside park focused on convenient access to the lake and surrounding landscape.
