Mobile Point is a long, low, narrow sandy peninsula on the Alabama coast, with the Gulf of Mexico on one side and Bon Secour Bay and Navy Cove on the other. It forms the eastern side of the entrance to Mobile Bay, helping partly enclose the bay's opening. Fort Morgan stands at the western end of the point, facing Fort Gaines across the inlet on Dauphin Island. Along the point lies the unincorporated community of Fort Morgan, linking this coastal landform to the military post and settlement located on its edge.
