Lake Walcott State Park is a sixty-five-acre public recreation area in southern Idaho on the western shore of Lake Walcott, an eight-thousand-acre reservoir on the Snake River near Minidoka Dam and east of Acequia. Its significance lies in the way its small footprint connects visitors to a much broader landscape shaped by the reservoir and the adjoining Minidoka National Wildlife Refuge. That setting gives the area both recreational and wildlife importance. The park provides access for camping, picnicking, boating, fishing, water sports, and disc golf, serving as a compact gateway to the lake and its surrounding environment.
