Founded in Groveport, Ohio, in 1987 by Warren E. Motts in his family home, this military museum grew from a private collection into a regional museum and memorial site. Its expansion included new buildings and added space between 1995 and 2006, along with efforts to preserve notable artifacts such as a replica of Eddie Rickenbacker’s home, an M47 Patton tank, a September 11-damaged fire truck, and a landing craft shelter. Its exhibits include the Ohio Military Hall of Fame, the Ohio Mobile Vietnam Memorial wall, and the Vietnam War Dog Team Memorial, combining military history with remembrance of Ohio service members and major American events.
