Women in uniform served at home and abroad in peace and war to safeguard America and guarantee freedom, courageously volunteering, boldly defending, loyally upholding, and valiantly giving their all to preserve the liberties and freedoms of the United States of America through service in its Armed Forces. Anne S. (SOSH) Brehm, ILT, USANC, World War II, is honored along with all women whose patriotism and service are presented as a testament to their spirit. The monument’s design symbolizes what female veterans took to accomplish their goals: three steps for family, faith, and courage; three points for God, country, and service; a single point for their crowning achievements; and curves and height intended to reflect the female veteran on a more personal level.
