Star Peak is the highest summit in Nevada’s Humboldt Range and the most topographically prominent peak in both the range and Pershing County. Its commanding rise also makes it the sixth-most topographically prominent peak in the state. Located on public land managed by the Bureau of Land Management, it has no access restrictions. Because of its height and prominence, Star Peak stands as a notable landmark in this part of Nevada and an important high point within the state’s rugged interior.
