Nelson Dewey State Park is a 756-acre park in Grant County, Wisconsin, on the Mississippi River. It stands on land that once formed part of Stonefield, the estate of Nelson Dewey, the state’s first governor. The park is especially valued for its bluff-top views over the Mississippi River Valley, and about 2 miles of hiking trails trace the high ground above the river. It also offers a small campground, including four walk-in campsites along the tops of the bluffs, combining scenic overlooks with access to the historic landscape once tied to Dewey’s estate.
