Twin Falls is a waterfall site on the Snake River in the Snake River Canyon of south-central Idaho, east of the city of Twin Falls on the border of Twin Falls and Jerome counties. Located just below Milner Dam and above Pillar Falls and Shoshone Falls, it was originally two parallel waterfalls, which inspired its name. In the 1930s, construction of Twin Falls Dam to manage irrigation water and generate hydroelectric power permanently diverted water away from the southern falls. Only the north waterfall remains active today, though exceptionally high flows once could create a smaller third falls to the south.
