Pleasant Township honored her loyal sons for service in multiple American wars, including the Revolutionary War in 1776, Fort Seneca in 1812, the Mexican War in 1846, the Civil War from 1861 to 1865, the Spanish War in 1898, World War I from 1917 to 1918, World War II from 1941 to 1945, the Korean War from 1950 to 1953, the Vietnam War from 1964 to 1975, and the Persian Gulf War in 1990; it also invoked Independence, Gettysburg, Shiloh, Stone River, and Chickamauga, and recorded that it was erected in 1900.
