In Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood, the Victorian house used for the exterior and some interior scenes of Ralphie Parker’s home in the 1983 film A Christmas Story has been restored as a near-replica of its movie appearance and became a museum complex devoted to the film. Chosen by director Bob Clark for Cleveland’s working-city backdrop, the site also reflects a small connection to Jean Shepherd’s life through the street name Cleveland Street. After Brian Jones bought and extensively renovated the altered house in 2004, the attraction expanded to include a museum, gift shop, and neighboring buildings. Opened to the public in 2006, it later passed to Joshua Dickerson in 2023.
