Apache Creek Wilderness is a protected area in Arizona’s Chino Valley District of Prescott National Forest, established in 1984 and spanning 5,666 acres in the southeastern Santa Maria Mountains. Its terrain includes rolling juniper and pinyon pine hills, granite outcrops, three natural springs, and valuable riparian habitat along Apache Creek. Elevations from 5,280 to 6,970 feet support mountain lion and numerous bird species. The wilderness is paired geographically with nearby Juniper Mesa Wilderness, which lies just north across North Fork Creek.
