Tinkers Creek State Park in Streetsboro, Ohio, serves as both a public recreation area and an important wetland habitat. Its small lakes and marshes support beavers and thousands of waterfowl, making wildlife a defining part of the landscape. The property was once a private park known as Colonial Spring Gardens before Ohio acquired it in 1966 and opened it as a state park in 1973. Since 2014, Summit Metro Parks has managed the park and the adjacent Tinkers Creek State Nature Preserve under an agreement with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
