Hart Mercantile Company in Colbert, Georgia, was a general merchandise, cotton, and fertilizer business owned by Ed R. Hart, Sr., from 1947 to 1979. In 2003, the family of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hart, Sr., donated the building to the city of Colbert. Mr. and Mrs. Hart were civic-minded, active in the community, and contributed much to its development.
