Caldron Linn, also called Cauldron Linn or Star Falls, is a waterfall on the Snake River in southern Idaho at the boundary of Jerome and Twin Falls counties. It became historically significant during the 1811 journey of Wilson Price Hunt’s Overland Party of the Pacific Fur Company toward the Pacific. After losing a member on the Snake River, the expedition continued by canoe until the violent water at the falls forced them to abandon the river route and proceed overland. The name likely came from a Scottish party member recalling a waterfall in Scotland, and the site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.
