This home was built in 1900 for Dr. and Mrs. J.M. Stewart. The garage and a two story tank tower were also built, and the tower housed young men who served as drivers for the doctor. The front hall of the home served as the doctor's office. Dr. Stewart's home had one of the first telephones in Katy. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lott purchased the home in 1957 and resided there until Oct. 25, 1984.
