Horse Canyon is a small canyon in central Garfield County, Utah, within Grand Staircase–Escalante National Monument near Boulder and Escalante. Part of the Escalante drainage, it belongs to a network of side canyons carved through the monument’s desert landscape. The canyon begins where three canyons meet at a fork, then continues downstream toward the Escalante River. Along its course, Death Hollow enters about five miles in and Wolverine Canyon joins about three and a half miles in. Its importance lies chiefly in its place within southern Utah’s well-known canyon country and the larger system of tributaries that feed the Escalante River.
