White Oak Creek Covered Bridge stood near Alvaton, Georgia, on Covered Bridge Road southeast of the community. Built around 1880, it featured the distinctive Long-truss design and was later listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973 for its historic significance. The bridge is thought to have been built by Horace King, the noted bridge builder born in 1807 who had formerly been enslaved. Its historic fabric did not survive the late 20th century: it burned in 1985, leaving only metal pilings and the skeleton of the deck.
