Rocky Glen State Park in Newtown, Connecticut, is an undeveloped 46-acre public recreation area along the west side of the Pootatuck River. Rather than a heavily built park, it is valued for hiking, a scenic cascade, and its rocky river setting. The park appeared as Connecticut’s forty-seventh state park in the 1943 edition of the Connecticut Register and Manual. It is now managed by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and includes a one-and-a-half-mile section of Al’s Trail, which forms part of a 10.7-mile greenway route through Newtown.
