THE STORY

Built by John Norwood in 1820, Norwood Inn served as a stage stop on the line from Washington, D.C., to Marietta, Ga. The Old Federal Road lay 200 yards south, and after operation by three generations of Norwoods, the inn was dismantled in 1937.
