Built in Schenectady, NY, this GE steam turbine was commissioned in 1976 for Unit 2 of the Huntington Plant and remained in service until 1998. During that time, it produced 3.6 million megawatt hours of electricity. It was designed to take 3.3 million pounds per hour of 1005 degree superheated steam at 2400 PSI while rotating at 3600 RPM and producing 450 continuous megawatts. Made of steel, it weighs approximately 22 tons.
