This building was originally constructed as Schuylkill Haven High School. A 1923 image shows what was then a modern school building. It opened for occupancy in September 1917 at a cost of $80,000. On December 5, 1937, fire destroyed the entire third floor. In 1951, two buildings were added to the rear of the school, one a cafeteria and the other an agriculture building. In 1970, the building became the Middle School.
