The Eatonville Gateway stands on thirty-foot brick pedestals arching over the west side of Kennedy Boulevard, welcoming visitors with a large decorative clock and archway signage proclaiming, "The town that freedom built. Oldest Incorporated African American Municipality in America." It was officially dedicated on August 11th, 2012, coinciding with the one hundred twenty-fifth anniversary of Eatonville’s incorporation as a municipality.
