Tannery Falls, also known as the Rudy M. Olson Memorial Falls, is a waterfall on Tannery Creek near Munising in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. It drops about 40 feet into a sandstone canyon with a cave behind the falling water. The creek flows past a small residential area before reaching the falls, and water levels can shift sharply with snowmelt or rainfall. Less advertised and maintained than some nearby waterfalls, it has a quieter, more secluded character. Once under private ownership, the surrounding land was later acquired by the Michigan Nature Association, which created a public nature preserve that also includes nearby Memorial Falls.
