The Bank of Guerneville, a beautiful Beaux Arts building, was designed in 1921 by Carl Ingomar Warnecke of the architectural firm Miller and Warnecke, a Bay Area firm that designed residential work, apartment buildings, schools, and commercial and civic structures. Warnecke won a design competition that allowed him to attend the École des Beaux Arts in Paris, and this building reflects that influence in its symmetry, graceful arched windows, and pedimented doors at the main entrance. The building was restored in 2015 by Robert Anderson Pullum.
