Crowder State Park near Trenton is a Missouri park centered on Crowder Lake, an eighteen-acre lake within one thousand nine hundred twelve acres of public recreation land. The park and lake are named for Major General Enoch H. Crowder, who was born and raised in the area. Its most notable historic feature is the Crowder State Park Vehicle Bridge, a small single-arch reinforced-concrete bridge faced with cut stone and built about 1939 by the Civilian Conservation Corps. As the park’s only surviving C.C.C.-built structure, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. The park remains a destination for lake-based and land-based outdoor recreation.
