The Clinton Drive-In opened on August 17, 1949, three miles south on Route 66 next to Neptune Park. It featured two shows nightly and individual speakers for 300 spaces, with admission at forty cents for adults and ten cents for children. The first movie shown there was "Tap Roots" starring Van Heflin, and the bill also included two color cartoons. The Clinton Drive-In closed in the 1980's.
