Mary Roberts Rinehart Nature Park is a small park in Glen Osborne near Sewickley, northwest of Pittsburgh, named in 2008 for mystery writer Mary Roberts Rinehart, who was born in Allegheny City in 1876 and lived nearby from 1911 to 1922. Adjacent to her former estate, the park links the landscape to a notable local literary figure. Its trails pass through ravine and floodplain forests along a stream, including sycamore, box-elder, and remnant green ash mixed hardwood communities. The park also features pollinator and barrens gardens, artisan-built stone and ironwork elements, and has hosted Sewickley StoryWalk, blending children’s books with woodland walking.
