Burton Creek State Park is a California state park near Tahoe City and Truckee in the Sierra Nevada, protecting 1,890 acres of forested land near Lake Tahoe. Established in 1976, it is known as a quiet, low-key outdoor area focused on non-motorized recreation. Its most notable feature is about 6 miles of unpaved roadway, used by hikers during warmer months and by cross-country skiers in winter. The park is valued for providing accessible trails and open space close to Tahoe City.
