In the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral, Frank McLaury, Tom McLaury, and Billy Clanton were killed. Frank McLaury, shot in the head, died instantly on the Fremont Street sidewalk. Tom McLaury and Billy Clanton, both wounded, were carried into this building, where Tom died within minutes from a shotgun blast fired by Doc Holliday. Billy Clanton, shot three times at age 19, died more slowly, crying out in pain despite two injections of morphine. The following day, C.S. Fly photographed the three Cowboys at the local funeral parlor beneath a sign reading “MURDERED IN THE STREETS OF TOMBSTONE,” and hundreds of residents followed them to their final resting place in Boothill Cemetery.
