For forty-two years, the Paulist Fathers gave dedicated and distinguished service to West Virginia University and St. John's University Parish. The faith community at St. John's grew spiritually through the Paulists' presence and through their mission of evangelization, reconciliation, and ecumenism. Those who served during this period were Joseph P. Flynn, CSP, from 1956 to 1959; Robert T. Scott, CSP, from 1957 to 1960 and 1962 to 1968; John Overend, CSP, from 1959 to 1962; Edward R. Donovan, CSP, from 1960 to 1962; Stanley F. MacNevin, CSP, from 1962 to 1966; Edward A. Hofler, CSP, from 1965 to 1967 and 1968 to 1974; Richard L. Marold, CSP, from 1966 to 1970; John L. McNassar, CSP, in 1968; Charles W. Albright, CSP, from 1968 to 1970; David A. Pilliod, CSP, from 1970 to 1971; William J. Cantwell, CSP, from 1971 to 1974; Michael J. Kallock, Jr., CSP, in 1973; Richard A. Biega, CSP, from 1974 to 1977; James R. McCauley, CSP, from 1974 to 1975 and 1987 to 1994; Harold J. Powers, CSP, from 1974 to 1978; Thomas P.
