The Administration Building consisted of the fair office, Commercial Building, and Home Activities Department displays. It was a WPA project constructed in 1940. The commercial display space was 100 by 90 feet and was used as cold storage in the off-season. In the fall of 1992 and the spring-summer of 1993, abundant rain made it a challenge to complete the new Century Avenue fairgrounds site in time for the first fair in August 1993.
