Nathaniel S. Simpkins Jr. of Field Arty, Staff Sergeant David E. Baker of the Army Air Corp, Pvt. Kenneth M. Chase of the Army, Fireman 2nd Class Carroll A. DeSilver of the Coast Guard, Cpl. Orie D.W. Sampson Jr. of the Army, and Cpl. Nicholas G. Xiarhos of the U.S.M.C., with the words, Greater Love Hath No Man This That A Man Lay Down His Life For His Friends.
