Built in 1872 by J.C. Loving, the son of pioneer trail driver Oliver Loving, the Loving Ranch House was the first office of the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, which J.C. Loving helped organize and served as first secretary, and the ranch was later operated by his son, Oliver II.
